MERMOSA

BRUNCH CLUB

WINE | COCKTAILS | FOOD | MUSIC | VIBES

Dear Portland and Beyond - we have truly enjoyed serving you for brunch, dinner, catering and events over the past year and change at our spot on NW 23rd in Portland. Thank you for the incredible support and showing up to make us the #1 R&B Brunch in the Pacific Northwest! We have absolutely loved being the place where you gather, celebrate, organizations come together and non-profits connect and celebrate. In just one year of being open 4 days a week, we hosted over 900 celebrations for special occasions - what an honor!

After taking time to reflect on our operations where Brunch, Catering and Events are the most successful, we have decided to close operations at 1422 NW 23rd Ave in Portland. We will continue our catering and off-site events, but can no longer justify the ultra-premium rent on NW 23rd Ave - especially when the vast majority of our guests travel in from other neighborhoods, cities, states and countries to visit us.

We are incredibly grateful for our ride-or-dies, our talented and loyal team members and every person who came out to support the community we created. Please sign up for our email list and stay tuned as we share our next phase. You know we always have something going on!

It’s a well-seasoned experience

IT ALL BEGAN WITH

ONE WOMAN’S

AUDACITY

Mermosa celebrates our founder’s roots - her family’s first mermaid, Celestine Noisette.

Celestine grew up in the late 1700s in what is now Haiti, met and married a Frenchman named Philippe and came to Charleston in 1794.

In a true forbidden love story across color lines, Celestine ended up enslaved along with her children — then used her powerful voice and audacity to pave a pathway to freedom for herself and her kids.

Today, we celebrate Celestine’s audacity and our family’s roots from France - Haiti - Lowcountry at Mermosa PDX.
